These days, "word" apparently means "correct," "you got it," even "amen" in a secular sort of way.
Today, Dr. Porcu shared the results of the CT and PET scans. He told us that Marsh's body has "responded completely to the chemotherapy," and that he is cancer-free.
Cancer-free.
Is he cured? Not yet. He will go for scans every 90 days for two years, then in three (we think we've got the timing right here) he will be considered cured.
Word.
It's nearly incomprehensible.
We're dazed, with a growing sense of delirium.
More to come as we process.
For now, our word is Word
"...and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
Amen.
I've waited 8 long months to hear this news and I thank God for it! I hardly post a thing on here, but my thoughts and prayers have been with you all as I've checked the site almost daily to get the latest. I'm glad we can now turn the anxiety of the situation into relief as we chalk a victory up to the Williams family!
Now my concern is how long you'll be able to get the last cup of coffee or that last slice of pizza, no questions asked. You should be able to ride "I'm beating cancer" for at least a good year or two. Anyways, continue to get well and we'll all meet up at Ted Drewes in St. Louis for frozen custards on your word.

Now to get to some serious stuff in your life...........Someone tells me that you are trying to grow back some facial hair........You favor the Wilsons enough, but we love you either way.
Looking forward to seeing you as you get stronger. Your family has a GREAT VICTORY, and we all thank a Loving Father for your good news. Please thank your med folks from the whole clan. Carol, you are truly a CHAMPION and I want Andrew in my corner, always.
Love you, each and all........Beat on your pie pan with that wooden spoon..."Praise Him with the cymbal and Dance.... Aunt Barbara

Marsh, Carol and kids,
We are so grateful to God for the healing he has bestowed on you. I know it must have seemed like a lifetime to get through the chemo but you're on the other side now and seems you're getting stronger with every day. We are thrilled!!!
We are hoping to see you this summer and find out if that 4th of July party is all you've said it is......you should be so much better by then.......WORD. Much Love, June (Pope)
